Interested in Road Scholar but can’t commit the time and money?! Come to this event for a sample of what takes place there! This Introduction to Plan Reading will teach Public Works line workers the ability to read various plans from civil drawings and specifications to plats. This Introduction will give attendees a taste of what the Road Scholar program can offer and the benefits it will have for personnel. The subject matter will be presented by Kyle Johnson of the Village of Buffalo Grove (see his bio below) in an approximately 45 minute open lecture, where questions will be highly encouraged. The session will then culminate in a table top exercise where Buffalo Grove staff will help work through questions pertaining to typical plan reading. All attendees are invited to join us at Buffalo Creek Brewing afterwards for some networking time with their fellow attendees.
