RE: serious pro bass player wanted

Description

I won't name the band but you might figure it out. I met all his qualifications. I had to ask him repeatedly to send his song list. I replied with which songs I know--about half of them, enough to audition with and give him an idea of my ability. Then I had to ask him repeatedly where they rehearse, took him 5 days to answer me. Hint: when your ad says you want a pro then you probably should act like a pro yourself. Arrived at audition. I plugged in and was ready to go. He asked me which song I wanted to play. I said "you have the list, you pick one." He got his phone out and looked. Asked me if I knew such and such song. I told him I didn't. He looked at me and said "You don't know that one?" Remember, I had already replied to him with which songs I knew and didn't know. He picked a couple I did know and we played them. I played them exactly like the record. Then he asked me a third time if I knew the one song; again I said I didn't know it. Keep in mind he never told me I had to learn all his songs for the audition, plus I already told him I didn't know them all. Audition lasted about an hour. When we finished I was getting a bad vibe from him. I told him to keep me in mind as a sub if he decides not to go with me. I left and figured I'd hear his decision in a week or two. It's been 2 weeks and nothing. But he had time to repost his ad. This is a guy who wants a pro attitude but does not reciprocate. It's guys like him who have made craigslist a complete waste of time for serious musicians. Oh, I almost forgot: his rehearsal space was about 100 degrees. Perfect for attracting players with a "serious pro attitude".
