I have been privileged to partner with IPC Artspace Gallery to present some of my wildlife photography in an exhibit called, “Connections” curated by award-winning photojournalist, Carl Juste, the show features a variety of images reflecting the beauty and diversity of wildlife with the hope of inspiring and reinforcing a connection between people and the natural world.
The program will be given by me at the gallery where I will tell stories about the individual images while providing hands-on objects such as skulls, feathers, skins and other biofacts that the students can touch to further reinforce the “connection” between humans and animals. The goal of the program is to show how we are all connected and that by protecting wildlife, we are indeed protecting ourselves. It will be a highly interactive presentation created to motivate the attendees to care about wildlife and want to learn more about it. By presenting these programs at the gallery in Little Haiti, it is hoped that it can provide an opportunity for those to have a unique experience relative to wildlife that they may not otherwise have access to.
As part of the grant from the Cecil and Ana Milton Family Foundation, limited funding has been made available to provide transportation to the gallery. Because of the size of the gallery, there is a limit of 12 attendees through Eventbrite. Please remember that this is a children workshop though adults are welcome to stay.
Sincerely,
Ron Magill
