Description

This annual fundraising event in Charleston includes an oyster roast, hors d'oeuvres, beer and wine, music, a silent auction, and lots of fun! Oysters are provided by Bowens Island Restaurant, and proceeds will benefit the Alston Wilkes Society in providing direct client services to the local community. The Alston Wilkes Society serves homeless veterans, ex-offenders, and at-risk youth, helping clients make a successful transition back into society by providing:  needs assessment, counseling, employment training/placement, transportation, personal hygiene items, food, clothing, housing assistance, and referrals to other community resources. We operate 2 transitional facilities for Homeless Veterans, 4 residential reentry centers, 8 community service offices, and a high-management youth home.  We have a number of sponsorship opportunities available: Platinum Level - $2,000 Be the first to sponsor at this level!
