Well, your probably searching the "Christian" community music ads like I did quite a few years ago. I found an awesome band mate and because of my "I wanna be a star" stupid attitude at the time- I lost him. We still chat to see what each other is doing. Nevertheless- I'm older now (55) and I'm NOT trying to be a "Star" the only stars that exist are in the sky. I'm forming a Christian pop/light rock band. I've written two albums and I'm working on the third ( trying to write five albums worth of material) my influences are Christian and Secular. U2, Casting Crowns, The Police, Steve Green, The Jam, Jeremy Camp, Paul Simon, King & Country, Sting, 4 Him, Elvis Costello and many others. That doesn't mean that my writing style is a Mish mosh of influences all rolled into one- No. I write, Sing, and play Rhythm guitar and currently I'm putting out "feelers" again for who's in my area. Again, must be a Bible believing, Jesus Loving ( and following) solid doctrine Christian who plays lead guitar 🎸 or bass, or drums- can background sing and if you write too- fine. If you don't like my songs and I don't think yours is a fit, we can part our ways and see each other in Heaven. No drugs, No alcoholics, No name it claim it doctrine. It saddens me to have to say that- but in 2022 lots of folks call themselves Christian and aren't. I'm black, ( That shouldn't make any difference though) middle aged and looking to do what God told me to do decades ago. Finally-- I prefer ages 45+ Thanks for reading. Shel.
