Packages tomatoes and other produce based on company standards on number of tomatoes, clusters, and other produce packaging requirements. Assembles packaging and shipping containers in preparation for packaging process. Packs product into shipping containers and seals and labels properly. Understands and adheres to produce grade standards and maturity characteristics. Handles produce carefully to prevent bruising or damage to the product. Performs production activities such as inspecting, sorting, packaging, weighing, and lifting produce. Reports defective product or questionable conditions of the product to manager, supervisor, and team leader. Maintains a clean work area and ensures the equipment is clean and in orderly condition. Cleans and sanitizes the packhouse at the end of the shift. Meets packing standards set up by the supervisor. Adheres to Bushel Boy Farms personal hygiene requirements and follows all food safety, occupational health safety, and operational policies and procedures. Attends all required safety meetings and training sessions to ensure compliance. Identifies safety concerns and promptly communicates with manager, supervisor, or team leader.
