Hello, my name is Freya. I am a 6 year old cat seeking a quiet home to live out my life. I am appropriately named after the Norse goddess. I like to lounge around looking majestic, and everyone who has met me tells me my looks make me a million dollar cat. I have had one litter of kittens (I am now spayed so there will be no more of that business. I also went to the vet and received all of my shots). I lived outside at that time and have transitioned to the fully indoor life. When strangers are in my space, I like to formally greet them and get some pets and compliments about how pretty I am. I love to be pet, but only when I want to be pet. If you pet me when I do not want to be pet, I will give you the look a mother gives a child when they are misbehaving. If this look doesn't get the point across, I hiss and run, and I have been known to scratch at people. I do allow my humans to pick me up and trim my nails (while wearing thick gloves), I just ugly meow the whole time to let them know I hate it. But it's fine I guess. So I am searching for a new home, my current home has another cat that bullies me and I am just so over it. I am fine with other cats as long as they are not a strong alpha type, as I will completely keep to myself. I sleep in my one spot, love to use a scratching post, eat my food and use my litter box - and that is really all I need. I have never met a dog, so let's avoid those please. Children are a no from me because they cannot read my body language when I tell them I have had enough. And I can definitely hunt so other small pets are a no. I would come with a bag of my food (I like the affordable grocery store kind and will eat nothing else) I don't really play with toys but I would come with a little cat bed that I like and a food and water bowl. I am a little bit of a project cat - I need a lot of love and patience for my personality to come through. But I am otherwise as low maintenance as a companion animal can get. ($50 rehoming fee)
