Description

Liz Lannon has been making music for a long time. She's released seven albums and played in venues and on the radio around New England. After twenty years on the New England blues circuit and seven albums to her credit Liz Lannon remains as one of the premier local talents. Her records have been played on such well heard radio stations as WZLX with Carter Allen, WERS, and WGBH with Brendan Hogan, WBOS with Holly Harris, WJUL with John Guregian, WATD with Peter Black, WMVY, WMSU, WCUW, and others in the greater Boston and New England area.
The Liz Lannon Band has played some of the top venues in the area such as Harpers Ferry, Johnny D’s , and Scullers as well as some notable blues festivals, namely the Boston Blues Fest and Onset Blues Festival, Save the Harbor, and the Marshfield Fair. Liz has recently relocated to southern Maine and has been playing such venues as The Midnight Blues club in Auburn and Waterville, and McSeagull's in Boothbay, among others. The band is primarily influenced by the Chicago blues, but rockabilly, jazz, and sixties soul influences are infused in the repertoire. Liz uses guitar, bass, and drums, to back her vocals, though keyboards and sax can be brought in for appropriate venues. For the past seven years Liz has teamed up with husband Chris Lannon on their roots music duo, "Married with Chitlins" blending fiddle guitar, mandolin and harp with strong harmonies. The duo is currently playing various clubs in Maine most notably the Old Goat in Richmond and the Gin Mill in Augusta. Their album is also available at CD Baby. com.
