HELP! BiPap or Cpap with BiPap mode

I am a caregiver to a dear friend with COPD, heart failure and pulmonary hypertension. He's been in the hospital twice in 4 weeks with the first COPD exacerbation where his o2 is low and his co2 is high, very dangerous. The bipap we have has berm recalled for fo degrading amd blowing into patients lungs but he's so critical we have been advised to use it anyway. However it took a spill during a seizure in 2020 the last time it was used and isn't working right anymore. I can't rent a new one without a current prescription which I have been waiting on since last Monday. The drs are ignoring my portal messages and pleas for help as I watch his co2 retention get higher and higher. Is there anyone that would temporarily loan or rent us a bipap? Every time he's in the hospital they break something else on him, I just need to get the co2 off and have a reliable machine to keep it off. I've been proactive, on the phone for 10 days straight, trying to prevent this very situation from happening and here we are because the doctors do not care. You're just a name and numbers, to fill their quota esp at Banner. Please someone help if youre able, he's getting very sick very quickly.
