We kind of though we were going to loose Chicago there for awhile. But there's enough real people now. So they'll get themselves organized soon enough. Find their spot so to speak Then let that be a lesson. Never hire those " good people " again. They and the religious fanatics. Dam near ran it into the ground. And ran it down broke. Once we get the money back. ( and those that protect it and the people from the politics.) This will all settle out and Chicago will once again be the city were you can make it. Once the mob gets back. I'll be better. Yeah it'll take a while. There will be a few wars. These kids today think they know how to be tough because they own a gun and they shot grandma for her food stamps. They haven't seen tough yet. Soon everyone will be back on the payroll or helping out. As it should be. As Chicago has to be. Then soon after the fuckups will all be gone. Then the " good people" will take their little jobs and their money, go home and mind their own business. And we will look after them and their neighborhoods just like always. Nobody gets away with shooting a cop when they're on the same side. Nobody screws the system and doesn't go away. Everyone that can, works or has it explained to them. Anyone can have a job. You go to the precinct captain and hand him the money. He takes some, puts it in his pocket, puts the rest in an envelope and sends you to the catholic priest with a note. He puts some in his pocket, writes on the note and sends you to the job site. The forman puts the envelope in his pocket and hands you hard hat. No one holds up the corner store. If they do. They never do it again..ever.. Anywhere. There are two of the guys on every other street corner and Two big ugly cops. On the others. They have lunch together. They know and are freinds with everyone. You don't have to look far for help. And when they're done. The problem is solved. No court. No lawyers. It may be wrong. But that's Chicago. A nice place to live. You just have to know where you can go and where you can't. What you see and what you don't. Then you don't have to lock your doors at night anymore. That didn't start until the good people took over. In the old days on hot summer nights. The whole city would come out and sleep on the lake front. And in the parks. As long as you didn't look like a vagrant. The city was alive at night. People were shopping. They ran out the mobs. And now you can't leave your house. Told you so. Well I'm not actually telling anyone. Those people are all dead from old age now. And I didnt really expect the city to ever be the same. And it had some bad points. And today the world's just not going to let things work that way anymore. But at least we know it. We're not really trying to live in the past like some people. What are you going to do. I miss crossbows and homemade bread too. But I don't think they're going to let us walk around in our armor anymore. It's just not that useful today there are better options. And they're way more comfortable. New isn't always bad. ( we bathe now and have indoor plumbing.) It's just haters. Not wanting to give up what they have.
