General Labor / Carpenter We are a remodeling company based in PDX specializing in kitchen, bathroom and basement remodels. We are currently looking for a few extra people to add to one of our crews. Ideal candidates would have experience doing remodeling as mentioned above. Attention to detail, good communication, good work ethic and dependability are a must. Who you are is much more important than what you can do. There is a 3 month paid training period after hire to make sure it is a good fit for everyone, then full time employment is offered after that. We will provide tools, but you must be drug free, able to work and lift heavy objects, drive your own car and be willing to move at a fast pace. Showing up on time, protecting the house from construction hazards and general client experience are our first priority, so we will be looking for someone who reflects those values. This position reports to the Project Superintendent. Responsibilities - Abide by schedule set by the PS - Ensure safety, compliance and quality regulations are followed - Communicate project progress with clients and PS - Manage subcontractors and construction site organization - Complete Jobs on time - Reviews of job performance from clients should be 4-5 stars (they will be surveyed) Qualifications - 3 - 5 years of experience in construction area basic project management and communications skills - Ability to read construction documents - Familiarity with regulatory construction standards - Able to help set schedules and use our BuilderTrend software (will be trained)
