Helena Transmission is seeking a Full Time Automotive Technician We are seeking an Automotive Technician to work in our shop. Helena Transmission is a local shop that has been in business in the Helena area for over 15 years. Position is Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm with competitive pay. Let’s talk today! Stop by the shop and ask for Bryan Automotive Technician duties include but are not limited to: • Maintains vehicles’ functional condition by listening to operator complaints and conducting inspections. • Repairs mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replaces parts and components. • Compiles vehicle records by recording service and repairs. • Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, and preventive maintenance. • NO transmission experience necessary – will train candidate Automotive Technician skills and qualifications Successful candidate will have various skills and qualifications, including but not limited to: • Experience using hand and power tools to replace and repair parts. • Minimum of 2 years of automotive experience • Understanding and knowledge of the automotive industry • Knowledge of technical and mechanical procedures • Strong reading skills and understanding of service manuals • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. • Great attention to detail • Fast learner • Strong communication skills • Ability to work in a shop environment • NO transmission experience necessary – will train candidate Automotive Technician Work Hours & Benefits Schedule is Monday to Friday 8 am – 5 pm. Paid holidays, Paid time off. Pay is dependent on experience $22 - $38 per hour. Automotive Technician should have their own set of basic hand tools. The shop supplies the specialty tools.
