Shift: Available to work evening/midnight hours General Purpose of Job: Keep buildings, properties, facilities in clean and orderly condition respond to customer requests involving light cleaning, building maintenance, and moving furniture/boxes. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Essential Functions: • Empty trash containers on property grounds. • Clean windows and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. • Clean building, properties, and facilities by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming floors. • Clean restrooms, bath, kitchen sinks, floors, spot clean rugs, walls and surfaces. • Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment. • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. • Clean, strip, seal, finish, buff, polish floors and carpets, using power equipment. • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. • Clean debris from building common area and grounds, including parking structure and trash bin area. • Perform light building maintenance such as changing light bulbs,filters,door handles • Clean and polish furniture and fixtures. • Learn and follow safety procedures and policy. Marginal Functions: • Maintain inventory of supplies including Lifting/moving boxes. • Clean incidental property ground/floor spills, by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or hosing them off. • Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications. • Utilize communication equipment to receive work orders. • Perform all other building maintenance duties according to building, property, or facilities requirement Physical Elements: • Ability to fulfill the physical demands of the essential functions of the job. Education/Experience/License/Certifications: • 1-2 years building, property, or facilities maintenance preferred. • Ability to communicate in English and other languages preferred.
