The right person needs to know how to use hand tools and small power tools to cut drywall, pull out carpeting and flooring, and carefully detach building materials. Great opportunity for right candidate to learn & grow in the restoration industry. We will train and get you certified with paid training. Restoration 1 cleans up damage after floods and fires. We also handle mold remediation. We are seeking an entry level water, fire, and mold technician to work with our team. As a restoration technician, you will be driving a company vehicle and bringing equipment into the customer's home or business and assist in setting up drying equipment. Your responsibilities will include removal of wet drywall, insulation, carpeting, hardwood and tile flooring, demolition and hauling debris out of the customers house. As you grow with Restoration 1 so will your responsibilities. You will eventually learn how to take moisture readings, diagram workspaces, inspect for hidden water damage, properly cleanup mold, and mold. Every day brings new challenges. Our office is located in Bellport. Requirements: - Construction and demolition experience HELPFUL! - Experience using small hand and power tools. - Ability to demo a work site removing walls, carpeting, wood floors, cabinets, etc. - Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance. - Drive company vehicles safely - Self-motivated and professional - Fluent in English - Setup, takedown, and properly maintain company equipment - Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawls spaces, attics) - Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time - Ability to wear a full face respirator when needed - Clean driving record - Reliable transportation to get to our office. - Attention to details a must - Ability to successfully complete a background check. -Must be able to work some weekends/nights.
