Searching for a small breed dog

I have checked the local shelters and have not had any luck. I am looking for an adult, small breed dog to adopt. Must be good with other dogs, cats, and children. Would prefer if it was spayed or neutered and potty trained. Please no dogs that are high-strung and hyper all of the time, we really enjoy relaxing in the evening inside and would love a dog who would like to cuddle and sit on our laps. We live on a homestead with lots of room and lots of time to give to the dog. We feed our animals good quality food, and the dog would eat a raw meat and home cooked diet. We are friends with vets in the area and would provide the dog with excellent Medical Care, ongoing training, and lots of socialisation and exercise.
