Take a stroll through scenic Aquidneck park with NTC Living Collections Manager Joe Verstandig as we take a look at a diverse collection of specimen and ornamental trees, most notably beech (Fagus sp.) and its cultivated varieties. Beech Leaf Disease has recently established itself in Newport. We will discuss the pathogen, identify symptoms, actions we are taking to combat BLD, and how homeowners can do the same.
