BluCAL is looking for a Superintendent in the area of San Francisco. Below is a description of the Superintendent duties and qualifications. If you are interested please send us your resume. The Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of all assigned restoration projects, including but not limited to, subcontractor selection, materials procurement, scheduling, budgeting, and quality assistance. The Superintendent is also responsible for working closely with occupants and property owners throughout the process to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Field Management ● Identify scope and notify Project Director of any changes ● Ensure all work is contracted/subcontracted/scheduled ● Notify the Project Director if building permits/ air quality notifications are required and follow all government guidelines for each permit and project ● Adhere to all OSHA and EPA regulations ● Directly supervise BluCAL personnel on projects as required ● Adheres to all company Best Practices ● Provide the highest level of customer service at all times ● Ensure tailgate safety meetings are being conducted and documented daily ● Ensure personal air monitoring is being conducted and documented daily. ● All other duties or projects as assigned Office Management ● Ensure all proper project documentation is uploaded to the correct data bases ● Ensure all equipment has been allocated to each job daily ● Ensure all tailgate safety meetings are completed and delivered to the Project Director weekly ● Approve or reject invoices from subcontractors, with proper communication with your Project Director to ensure cost allocations have been added to the project ● Develop and update project schedules daily ● Update and provide schedules to Project Director and Office Manager weekly ● Keep company vehicles fully stocked with extra materials and supplies to ensure field operations are not delayed. ● Responsible for directing, mentoring and training junior level team members ● Representation on BluCAL emergency mitigation on-call management rotation Profitability Management ● Meet or exceed billing, revenue, and profit margin goals as defined by BluCAL ● Secure bids to obtain fair pricing on jobs within two weeks of assignment of the job per Best Practices ● Complete buyout worksheet and update monthly ● Track change orders QUALIFICATIONS ● 5 years residential, multi-family and commercial construction, general contracting and/or restoration experience required ● 5+ years supervisory experience preferred ● Must be able to attend Business Development networking functions when requested ● Must be able to travel in response to both emergency and non-emergency losses across the region. ● Ability to communicate effectively with clients, internal and external contacts throughout the project management process. ● Exemplify the BluCAL Core Values ● Asbestos Certified / Lead preferred but not required ● Background in the Remediation field
