FORESTS CAN BE MANAGED FOR TIMBER AND WILDLIFE !
Regardless of the size of your property, what you do on your woodland can have a profound effect on wildlife habitat. You can play an important role in benefiting wildlife by enhancing wildlife habitat on your property through forest management.
UNH Extension Forester and Natural Resource Field Specialist for Cheshire County, Matt Kelly, and Alex Barrett of Long View Forest, will lead this outdoor workshop. You will learn some of the many ways you can improve wildlife habitat on your forest land. Most habitat improvements require a low level of management, and some habitat improvements can be integrated with timber sales and provide substantial revenues.
