WESCO’s Annual Disability Awareness Walk will be the same weekend as The Tri-County BBQ Fest here in Denison, IA. Run/Walk/Wheel your way through this 5K designed for All Abilities and All Ages! Pets are welcome! This year, our route takes you throughout the town of Denison, where you will meet 6 different "stations" along the way. The first station you come upon will be Candy Dash! Got a sweet tooth? You will love this station! Take selfies with your favorite Candyland figures and take a walk on the board. Next, you will have the chance to go through mounds of foam and bubbles! Don't get lost! This is a favorite stop of our furry friends. Walk/Run/Skip/Wheel to the next station and be sprayed with color powder of all colors! Not too much further down the road, is where you can escape the "outside" elements and spend some time in our Neon Glow Tent! You can expect black lights while you get splattered with neon glow paint! Don't forget to grab a glowstick. If that wasn't enough, you will get SLIMED at our next station. If you grew up watching Nickelodeon, you have secretly always wanted to get SLIMED! Last but not least, try to wash some of the previous stations off with our WATER FRENZY! Want to join in on the water fight and get your family and friends soaked? We will have plenty of water guns for you to complete this mission. Once complete, we will meet at the finish line. Packets and Pre-registration materials will be available Friday at WESCO Industries at 415 S 11th Street, Denison, IA. You can also pick them up at the table marked "Pre-Registration" the morning of the run. Slime, Color, and Neon Paint are non toxic and utilized for many events worldwide.
