Art Space 349 Presents an Artist Retreat Weekend and Small Business NetworkingSaturday, October 8th - 7PM to 10PM: Please join us for Opening Night where we will have Apps & Wine available!See the new paintings by Artist Ruth Gonzales! A silent auction of one of her paintings is dedicated to our partner charity www.SmartChildKenya.com and we will have a small silent auction table with other gifts.All are welcome - Youth and Adults, please join us for a fun weekend of planned activities hosted by Ruth Gonzales and Hazel Aure Tamano.Our new Mission at Art Space 349 offers community events with a conscious awareness for new and rewarding experiences where we connect ourselves through art! 'Our Inspiration Forces' creates an openness to learn and to inspire each other in a creative, healing environment, and to reach out to other youth in need of guidance to love themselves and to be who they want to become in this world. Sunday, October 9th - Noon to 9PM: We will first meet for lunch at the Palm Springs Art Museum - Persimmon Bistro and Wine Bar, 101 N Museum Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92262. We will learn about Eastern and Western movements in Art History, visit other local galleries nearby, and attend a late night viewing of the north star and its directions and andromeda galaxy with Edward Gonzales' Meade 12 telescope back at Art Space 349 by 8PM. Monday, October 10th - 1PM to 5PM: Please join us for an outdoor painting class on "In the heart of the Indian Canyons' where we will draw and paint the observation of textures of palm trees and boulder formations. Pick up your art supplies like a canvas, paints and brushes at Michaels, pack a picnic and meet us at 1PM at the entrance of Tahquitz Canyon - Agua Caliente Indian Reservation, 500 W. Mesquite Avenue, Palm Springs, CA 92264. Ticket sales are $75 total to attend all 3 days of activities. We can also host at Art Space 349 for 2 nights at $75/individual or $125/couple per night, includes breakfast.
