On AUGUST 6th and 7th at 8pm in LANZA’s Cafe of Carrboro, an awesomely talented cast will present a play reading of RIPCORD, the dark comedy written by David Lindsay-Abaire. Reading is directed by local favorite Derrick Ivey, produced by Edith Snow, and the cast members are: Marcia Edmundson, Lenore Field, Thaddaeus Edwards, Evit Emerson, J Evarts, and Lex Wilson. THE STORY: A sunny room on an upper floor is prime real estate in the Bristol Place Senior Living Facility, so when the cantankerous Abby is forced to share her quarters with new-arrival Marilyn, she has no choice but to get rid of the infuriatingly chipper woman by any means necessary.
