Description

In order to be a great leader of others, you have to first take care of yourself. Everyone wants to know how to move forward in our organizations, but they don’t realize that it really starts internally, with you. That’s where self-leadership comes in. Self-care is consciously built into everything you do throughout your day—the physical, mental, and spiritual rituals built into your life. Join Rev. Paige Swaim-Presley to consider how mindfulness and self-care can keep you grounded in how best to serve others and remain productive in your work, even as you face personal difficulties. About the Instructors: Rev. Paige Swaim-Presley is an elder in the Mississippi Conference of the United Methodist Church. She has been trained in spiritual direction through the Journey Partners program and has served on various planning teams and committees in the Mississippi Annual Conference. Rev. Swaim-Presley has served as a pastor, as executive director of the Seashore Mission, and as the executive director of the Center for Ministry at Millsaps College. Paige earned her undergraduate degree from Troy University in 2005 and her Master of Divinity in 2010 from Emory University, Candler School of Theology.
