Join me in this educational gathering in our local forests! In this outdoor class, we will explore our bioregional plants and learn the botany, ecology, in-depth medicinal and edible uses, lore, traditional/historical uses and more! Discover the ways in which to properly ID, forage, process and steward the local flora and dive deep into the ecology of Tahoe! These plant forays are a meaningful way to connect to the local ecosystems and learn about the science and art of herbalism, ecological foraging and stewardship of our beautiful land. What we love we protect and care for. My mission is to share the love for this sacred land and inform people of the amazing medicines and edible plants to empower people and protect our lands! This class location is TBA at a local south sore location. I will announce on July 27th via email. Hands on medicine making, materia medica and more classes to come at Woods Apothecary for an in-depth herbal medicine immersion! You will need a notebook, water, hat/sunscreen, walking shoes and whatever else you require for a few hours of outdoor time. Phone cameras are helpful for photographical notes.
