Join Franklin County 11/30 Visitors Center on August 13 at 6 PM and taste your way the many cultures that come together in Franklin County-- Pennsylvania German, Irish, Latin American flavors, plus, everything in between: Greek, Korean, Japanese, Italian, and Indian. Enjoy cold appetizers, hot appetizers, soups, salads, entrees, desserts and beverages from a variety of cuisines in the beautiful 10,000-sq. ft. 11/30 Visitors Center—the former National Bank of Chambersburg, on the square of Chambersburg. Tickets $45/person. If you think heritage and culture aren't fun, you’ve never tasted Franklin County Flavor. From 1725 to 1840, Pennsylvania was the #1 food producer in North America, and Franklin County’s fertile land produced its share. Fast forward, nearly 300 years to 2022…our food connects us to three centuries of customs, culture, and heritage. Through the years, many people contributed to Franklin County-- Dutch, English, Swedish, German, Scot Irish, Welsh. Greek, Italian, Latin American, South American, Asian and Native American. Food connects Franklin County to the world. The 2022 event features entrees with pork, chicken, fish, and eggplant. Warm side dishes of root vegetables, such as potatoes, onions, turnips, carrots, fennel, yams, and carrots. Cold side dishes use Cruciferous vegetables, such as cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, Brussel sprouts, arugula, Bok choy, and collard greens. Dessert showcases the seasonal fruits of Franklin County. Franklin County Flavor features food from B Street 104, India Café, Inka, Pure & Simple, The Butcher Shoppe, Falafel Shack, Avocado Cafe, A Matter of Taste Catering, The Orchards, Kenzo, Square One,, The Family Cow, Undone Kombucha, Jordyn’s Café, Byron's Dining, James Buchanan Pub, and more.
