Warehouse Associate Alaska Rubber and Rigging Supply is seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate for our Fairbanks location. We are looking for a self-starter who works well with others in an energetic team environment, has the ability to take charge, and possesses a willingness to learn. The candidate must be organized, possess a strong attention to detail and strive to provide a great customer service experience. If you’d like to find out more about our company, please visit our website at: Here is just some of what we have to offer: • Competitive salary • 100% employee owned company • Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP) • Excellent medical, dental and vision benefits • 401(k) plan with match • Paid holidays / vacation / sick time • Performance bonuses Job Responsibilities: • Receiving: Unload and check in truck, LTL, small package freight, perform receipt inspection, enter receiving into computer system. • Shipping: Fulfill sales orders within computer system, print picking tickets, pull, stage, package and ship all outgoing shipments. • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code in designated areas. • Process all Return Material Authorization (RMA) documents, process returns as needed. • Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic. • Mark all materials with identifying information such as tags, lot/serial/quality documentation using appropriate method. • Assembly of hose products and other type assemblies is part of the job description. • Assist in cycle counting of physical inventory. • Forklift and pallet jack operation. • Responsible for organization of tools and workstation cleanliness. • Perform other duties as assigned. In addition to the Warehouse duties, this position may be responsible for the safe, timely and accurate delivery of customer's products to their location using a company provided vehicle; per location needs. Successful candidate will possess: • Clean driving record (DMV check) is required. • Must have the ability to lift 50lbs continuously and without restrictions. • 1 year of experience in the hose industry with mechanical and manufacturing or similar background desired. • Previous forklift experience is a plus but not required. • Willing to learn and teach as required to get the job done. • Must be attentive to detail. • Completes work assignments in a timely manner. • Reliable and dependable adherence to work schedule. • Shift work assignment priorities when needed and as directed.
