We are looking for a Shop Runner to support all aspects of our long-established Civil Construction Company. The crew will count on you for various crucial tasks, from making deliveries to maintaining the cleanliness of our fleet. If you want to prove yourself and work your way up the ranks in construction, this is the place to start. High energy and commitment are essential. If you are a restless individual who can multi-task, solve problems and do things proactively, you’ll quickly become invaluable. The goal is to ensure production gets on smoothly and problem-free. Responsibilities • Drive pick-up trucks to various places throughout the tri-county area. • Pick up and make deliveries to various project sites. • Assist in various tasks around the warehouse and offices. • Wash truck fleet vehicles and various other equipment. • Conduct crowd control by putting up signs, directing pedestrians away from construction. • Undertake errands as assigned • Manage the tracking and approval of all invoices for correct prices & quantities • Follow up on past due orders • Perform on-going analysis and cost reductions to ensure the lowest overall cost and highest possible value for dollars spent Qualifications • Three years of licensed driving experience with a valid driver's license • Spot-less driving record • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking ability • Resourcefulness and problem-solving • A team player with great communication skills • Physical strength and stamina.
