Jobs
1000 Airport Blvd, Georgetown PA
Description
We are in need of self-employed contract drivers to deliver luggage from the Pittsburgh Airport. NO experience necessary, so IF you fit the descriptions below, we will train you! READ THIS AD CAREFULLY BEFORE CONTACTING US; Qualified drivers will own (NOT lease) a decent vehicle with AMPLE, SECURE (locking) CARGO space, possess a valid drivers license, possess a smartphone with good coverage, pass a backround check, be able to lift 75+lbs, be a self-starter that can work independently, ...and be willing to drive weekends, at night or overnight, holidays, and in all kinds of weather. (a hands-free bluetooth device, stand alone GPS, and/or dash mount for your phone for nav is strongly recommended) Most of us drive mini-vans or SUV's, they allow the cargo room and good gas mileage. We load up baggage, sometimes boxes, sometimes child car seats, wheelchairs, golf and ski bags... cargo room is vital. This is not one-at-a-time deliveries like Door Dash, this is multiple deliveries on routes within a 150-160 mile radius of the airport. 200-300 miles per route is the norm. Most shifts will load anywhere from 10-20 pieces of luggage per route daily. (Think UPS or FedEx, but for luggage) Direct deposit weekly. @ $800-1200+ per week and up depending on cargo room, schedule, and travel seasons. We are paid per delivery. It is a very physical job, lifting overpacked luggage, pushing a loaded baggage cart the length of the terminal and back, sometimes several times a night, is required. Having a neat appearance (wearing a company shirt) and a professional attitude is also a must, you will be interacting with the public, handling customer service for your assigned deliveries, and working with the Baggage Agents from each airline. Driver must possess a great work ethic, time management and sense of urgency to ensure deliveries are done efficiently. You will work alone after training, so being a self-starter is a needed quality. Available shifts are evening/overnights: 8:30pm Friday, Saturday, &Sunday also Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10:30pm, and Sunday - Saturday 11:30 pm (Shifts/Routes are usually around 6 hours long, sometimes 8-10 hours, depending on how busy we are) Weekend shifts are a must, if you don't want to work weekends, we can't use you. We deliver 24/7/365, that means we work on Holidays and in all kinds of weather! Time off is always possible when arranged with the other drivers. This is a contract position, meaning you are self-employed... no paid time off, no benefits, and you are responsible for your own fuel, maintenance, taxes, ect. If you've made it this far... ...reply to this ad, after you've reviewed every detail 2X, via email link or call. Interviews are by appointment and are held at our office at the airport.
