Description
SET TO BE EUTHANIZED 7/19!! Why? Because he is struggling and stressed in his kennel at Shelter. Doesn't seem fair right?....He is SO YOUNG! The shelter sadly places GOOD adoptable dogs on E-list when they aren't doing well in their kennel. Can we help him live??
Please read about him below and call ASAP
and complete form at https://www.thedogsavers.org/apply-to-adopt/ if you can save Johnny! He is a good dog who has done nothing wrong! He listens well and is very loveable! He is mentally breaking down from long periods of confinement with limited opportunities for exercise and play. He needs to be out of this noisy, chaotic place.
JOHNNY (ID #A4740473) is a 2-year-old, neutered, brown and black German Shepherd/Mix (65 lbs.). Very stunning in person! Volunteers describe Johnny as gentle, affectionate, and well-mannered. He likes being petted and will lean in for more. He has been easy to leash and return to his kennel. He knows “sit” for treats and takes them gently. He has shown interest in playing with dogs in adjacent play yards and has been non-reactive when dogs walk by. Although Johnny hasn’t had a dog-to-dog assessment, his behavior around other dogs at the shelter suggests that with SLOW introductions, he would be able to live with another dog in a home. It is recommended that a potential adopter understands what a stressed dog needs and that Johnny meets the entire family.
PLEASE REMEMBER!! Johnny has been living in a high-stress environment and will need time to de-stress and relax!! He will benefit from a predictable routine as well as ample exercise and time to play. Call show
ASAP and fill out form https://www.thedogsavers.org/apply-to-adopt/ if you can save Johnny.
