Handy Equipment Rentals is seeking a motivated person for seasonal work with full-time potential. Pay from $15 to $20 per hour depending on experience and skillset. The ideal candidate will: -Professionally and promptly handle all incoming rental requests, including phone calls, texts messages, emails, Facebook messages, and occasional walk-ins. -Schedule and maintain orders in Tapgoods software, including initial scheduling, payment collection, card hold applications, check outs, check ins and closing of orders. -Coordinate pickup and drop off of orders with customers, whether we deliver or they pick up and drop off at the storefront. -Troubleshoot issues as needed. This includes everything from malfunctioning equipment to upset customers and so on. -Maintain equipment as needed, including washing and greasing equipment, performing oil changes and routine maintenance, gathering parts as needed, making minor repairs in shop, and outsourcing repairs as required. -Perform other tasks as assigned (cleaning, landscaping, building renewal and upkeep projects, etc.) -As time permits, this role may also be responsible for some construction requirements as we seek to improve the property. Candidates MUST: -Be capable of securing and transporting non-CDL payloads via truck and trailer. -Maintain a valid drivers license and clean driving record. -Have experience with properly maintaining a variety of equipment (skid loaders, lifts, etc.) according to the manufacturer's requirements. -Be flexible with scheduling and available to work some weekends. Work hours are generally between 6AM to 6PM, exceptions apply. -Be comfortable with a fluid work environment. Day to day tasks vary and change according to need. -Be capable of lifting large objects over 75 lbs. -Capable of standing, walking, bending, stooping and reaching throughout the course of the shift. The ideal person will thrive on a fast paced, constantly changing environment and be competent working with little oversight. We are a small business and this role may last into fall or for the right candidate, many years as we continue to grow.
