I’m an experienced drummer. Years of experience mainly in the northern NJ music scene. NYC too. Before I get more into my experience I would like to point out I’m not a young pup but not a geezer either. I keep myself physically fit and not overweight. I do dress contemporarily. Yes, I needed that say this first. With that out of the way and you’re still reading this I played in bands from 3 piece power trios to 8 piece horn based rock and all configurations in between with both excellent male and female lead vocalists. Mainly in the rock vain but I had played in successful contemporary dance and wedding bands too. One at time though! I’m not a multi band guy. When I was young I studied with a top instructor. I’ve also had vocal lessons but playing the drums is my passion. I was 10 when I started and my first band was when I was 14 and I haven’t stopped since. I played from 6 nights a week (had to drop of college from a few years to do this) to playing every Friday and Saturday night for a long time. Of course things had and have changed with the times and then I played one to two gigs a month. So I’m looking for a talented cover band whether established or a start up (as long as pieces are in place and not involved in the extended search for players and never get off the ground). Not interested in playing original songs (done that years ago). Rehearsing is no problem for me. Looking to play songs people know and have fun playing them. Strong vocals are as important as good musicianship. As far vocals go I prefer background harmonies than lead vocals. However, I’m just happy to play drums and if my voice is not needed that’s perfectly fine. BTW, I play traditional grip the way Stewart Copeland, Todd Sucherman, Steve Smith, Vinnie Colaiuta, Steve Gadd hold their sticks. In no way am I comparing myself to these awesome players. Just a visual only and only point this is out to say that I can rock. Steady time, chops (only when the song calls for it), taste and dynamics. I’m a north Jersey boy and have lived in Upper Bucks County for 3 years now. I was commuting to NJ to gig until my band there broke up. I have pro gear and accessories. So I’m looking for talented, serious but fun musicians! Stress free - been there done that. Music is supposed to fun anyway. Have FB page and videos of my playing in a band situation not solos.
