Description
This is really hard for me, but I need to rehome this sweet boy. This is Sven. He is 11 months old and was born August 26th last year. Sven is 3/4 German Shepherd and 1/4 Malamute. He weighs 92 lbs, has been neutered and is up to date on all his vaccines. I have had him since he was 10 weeks old.
He has been treated monthly with Interceptor since he was a puppy to prevent heartworm and he is also treated with Bravecto every three months for flea treatment. He loves to go to the groomer for his bath and nail trimming and does very well for them.
Sven can sit, lay down and comes when called. He is very food motivated and loves treats. He also loves to go for rides in the back of the truck. We have a four year old and a cat and Sven loves them both. Sven has a lot of energy though and his size makes him a handful at times. He does chase the cat. He never hurts her but she really doesn’t like it. She’ll get close as long as he’s on a leash. He is also too high energy for our four year old. His size is a compounding factor. He is also so tall his nose reaches the kitchen counter and currently he can’t be trusted not to get into anything you leave out. He has chewed up a few baseball caps and even papers. Sven needs an owner who has the time to train him and walk him or play fetch with him to calm him down daily. My health issues and having a small child combined with Sven’s energy level have proven he is not the right fit for us. I want to do what is best for all of us.
I will be very selective in the home he goes to as I love him dearly and want to make sure he has a happy forever home. $100 rehoming fee is to ensure you are serious about taking care of him.
