We are looking to hire a 1st and 2nd Shift Tool & Die Maker to work out of our Melrose Park, IL headquarters The Tool and Die maker builds, restores, alters and services a variety of tools used for metal stamping and cutting of steel parts. They generally work from drawings and sketches, but may construct parts where no design is available. Available Shifts: 1st Shift: 5:00am - 1:00pm (plus OT) 2nd Shift: 2:00pm - 10:00pm (plus OT) Responsibilities: *Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunctions, adjusting machines as necessary. *Set up and operate machines, such as lathes, V. Milling, Surface Grinder and bench drills. *Select, install, and adjust alignment of drills, cutters, dies, guides, and holding devices. *Set up dies and secondary equipment.
