Compensation: Hourly, non-exempt, $20.72 to $24.38 per hour Work Schedule: Full time, 40 hours M-F, occasional weekend hours Who We Are Unity Care NW is a private, non-profit, federally qualified health center that has been proudly and successfully serving the greater Whatcom County area since 1982. Job Summary Our Maintenance Assistants are responsible for keeping the clinics, administrative offices, public areas and building grounds in a clean and orderly condition. Under the direction of the facilities manager, they perform routine janitorial and maintenance duties and assist with special facility projects. Valid unrestricted Washington State Driver's License. At least one year of experience in janitorial, cleaning or related work in a facility with more than 10 employees. Physical ability to wear respiratory protection (determined by UCNW Employee Health) Ability to adapt work routine to what is happening in the facility at the moment - adjusting work priorities, seeing what can/should be done next, and readily shifting from one task to another. Effective time-management skills. Knowledge of the mixing and proper use of cleaning chemicals, including safety considerations. Ability to effectively use janitorial/cleaning equipment. Knowledge of general landscaping maintenance. Knowledge of basic use of tools. Knowledge of janitorial/cleaning methods and procedures. Excellent self-management skills. Preferred Qualifications (not required) Previous experience in a similar capacity in a healthcare setting. Candidates with applicable experience or similar qualifications are encouraged to apply!
