Looking for a large breed puppy or dog

I am in search of a large breed family dog or puppy. I have cats so *MUST be cat friendly*. I use to say kid friendly but my daughter is almost 10 and understands the boundaries and respect to give a dog. I won't pay a bunch of money either. So preferably a dog that actually NEEDS a home.
