Hello, Looking or a business partner and general contractor, I already have the company started and registered. We are hoping to find someone who can build and grow the company. With finding projects and doing the construction work that is required. For example: (Bathroom remodel's, kitchen remodeling, slight painting and deck building and or remodeling). This company would also in the future or whenever the opportunity presents itself do New Construction. Doing our own New Construction or for possible clients with their own projects. I am Looking for a business partner A general contractor, in a construction project responsible for scheduling and overseeing the day-to-day activities of a construction project. To manage the project from ground break to its completion, providing the materials, labor, and equipment. General Contractor equipped with some building skills, whether carpentry, electrical, plumbing or roofing. This enables you to perform the work while overseeing the project at the same time. Communication skills: As the contact between the project and the client, the General Contractor should be adept at communicating. Email, text, phone calls and face-to-face communication should be professional and appropriate. The individual in this role should be able to deliver bad news while highlighting the positive and sharing progress. Multitasking: The General Contractor is the lead of the project and will have to maneuver the work at hand while also fielding calls and emails from related parties. They should be able to function efficiently while completing more than one task at a time. Problem solving skills: While working on a construction project, there will be unexpected issues. People may get hurt or deliveries could be delayed. The General Contractor must take action in these situations, whether they need to assist with a first aid kit or they have to cancel a contract with a vendor and reorder supplies to keep the project on schedule. Resolving problems is a key piece of this role. The general contractor is responsible for running building/construction projects day to day. They’re responsible for all communication with the clients, and also ensure that needed materials are always on site, manage their employees, and also manage the work of sub-contractors who have been hired to perform various parts of the project (such as electrical or plumbing). Take all responsibility for the project, and in the end, are responsible for answering to their clients who hired us to complete the work. Depending on the nature of the work and the size and structure of the company, some general contractor’s wear the tool belt as much as our other employees, while having a management role and oversee the multiple projects the company is working on. The general contractor will run a small to large crew and work on multiple sites at a time. Such as commercial and residential work. Running residential builds or remodels: building new homes and additions, or remodeling kitchens, living rooms, bathrooms, building decks, etc. If a client is interested in a new kitchen, the general contractor will draw up some designs and present them to the client. However, contractors choose to work hand in hand with interior designers and let them run the design-focused things while they focus on building what the designer comes up with. The general contractor coordinates everything from beginning to end. The general process of their work begins with them talking with clients about the scope of work the client wants, providing the client an estimate or bid for work, then reviewing plans, and starting and managing the construction/remodel process. The following would be additional job description and requirements. Requirements very Duties: Understand client’s needs. Visit the site, estimate, plan. Review plans. Provide all tools and materials. Apply for any necessary permits. Adhere to building code. Maintain communication with clients. Skills Required: Plan reading. Building skills (carpentry, tiling, etc.). Time management. Personnel management. Communication skills. Eye for design. Detail-oriented. Budget-managing Qualifications: Will require some form of licensing and insurance to work as a general contractor. Education Needed: Anyone who is skilled in building/design, with a knowledge of estimating, plan-reading, and the other necessary skills to become a general contractor. Of course, degrees in building science, etc. Would be a great addition.
