Hi everyone. I accidentally deleted my original post when trying to fix some typos from this morning! This post comes with a heavy heart. After discussions, tears, etc. we believe that this beautiful boxer pittie mix that is a recent rescue, needs to find a furever home with a family with a fenced yard and with other furbabies (of the wiggle butt kind). A good samaritan rescued this sweet girl (they were calling her Ruby but we renamed her Moose and she loves it! ❤️) about a month ago. Moose was in Schroon Lake living in terrible conditions along with several other sweet pups. It is clear she recently had stopped nursing—she was being used for a puppy mill. Moosey Goosey is 1.5 years old and still an energetic, playful little lady. She has the most wonderful temperament. I have a 3 year old wild man and she takes him with pride but does knock him over because of her size and zoomies! We rescued three cats earlier this year and they unfortunately are not fond of her. The woman who got Moose out of the poor situation had cats, however, she had three doggies of her own plus the others she rescued so Moose was distracted and didn’t pay no mind to hers. You can tell she misses being with a pack of her own to play with all day. She would also do best with a fenced in yard or someone who is able to walk her multiple times per day. I say this because she has so much energy to burn and being inside does not help. I walk her as I am able, but with kids plus now being promoted with work (I work from home so I do what I am able to with her) I just can’t as much as she wants. We live on a busy road and considered an invisible fence but I don’t trust it. Getting a regular fence is just not feasible due to where we would need it and the extreme cost it would be. We did purchase her a 50 foot aerial runner as well but the poor girl just can’t grasp the concept. 😂 She is a massive lap baby and expects to be part of the crew on the couch and in bed. 💕 Car rides do make her sick though! The man who she was taken from stated he had her shots UTD except rabies but we don’t trust it. Therefore, she needs her shots—I do have an appointment scheduled for her but my vet is booked into August. She also needs to be spayed which is something I was going to discuss at her appt.
