Schmitz Telecom LLC is currently hiring for a full-time residential cable installer as well as fiber optics drop crew laborers. We have immediate openings. As an installer you will work independently to meet customer needs on installation of internet, phone and tv services in the Longmont area. You will have a manager and senior technician available a phone call away to help with any questions you have on a job once you are on your own. As a crew member for drop buries, you will receive daily jobs that will need conduit and fiber buried with a minimum of 6' depth, by shovel or pull along trencher. We provide paid training at $19 an hour which will last 2-3 weeks. Once training is complete you will be promoted to a sub-contractor, who will be on their own to complete the daily jobs assigned to your route. We pay via direct deposit every Friday and once you are ready to be on your own and out of training you can expect to make $800 - $1500 a week. Pay is piece work rated and your desire to make a lot of money by having amazing work ethic and personal drive for success. All tools and equipment are provided, however, you must use your own truck or SUV. A monthly reimbursement of $225 will be issued to you for the use of your own vehicle. We also will cover all maintenance for your vehicle. Potential candidates must be motivated, self driven, at least 18, a quick learner, have a valid driver's license, be able to pass a drug screening and have no felonies. Health insurance is not provided (YET), however you will receive 2 sick days and 3 PTO days after your first 90 days of employment and 5 paid vacation days after one year of employment. You will also be eligible for all bonuses that are up to $500 each. This job is not hard, but you will have to learn technique on different case by case scenarios. You must be willing to work in ALL weather conditions and rarely will you work over a 40 hour work week, however, will have to work every 3rd Saturday that will bonus out as a 6 day work week.
