Description
I am looking for a dog sitter. I am disabled and a senior. I have no family in the immediate area and in case of hospitalization I have no one to care for her. I love her a lot, however she was abused before I rescued her. She has come a long way, but is still terribly afraid of other people. If she went to a shelter she would not be adopted as people are looking for friendly, playful dogs, not terrified dogs barking at them. If I went to the hospital for instance for a few days and you came to my apt, you could either stay here or come everyday, feed her and clean up or take her to your place. She would need to travel in a crate. She would have to get used to you or it would be a fight to walk her. She is potty trained to either go outside or on pee pee pads. She is very well behaved usually, she is about 12 pounds. When I first met her, she barked at me, snapped, etc. But I didn't let that stop me, I just picked her up. She was shaking so bad, now she sleeps with me. I don't want to lose her or have her put to sleep. She deserves to live if something happens to me, she is a young dog and very sweet once she knows you. I would pay you of course, we could discuss that. Lets talk and see what we can do. Maybe she could get used to you if you visited me before hand. I would pay for her to be walked and for you to visit to let her get to know you, your scent, etc. Once she knows you I think there would be no problem. Thanks in advance. Bear in mind I live on a fixed income so I can't pay a fortune.
