Description
I have a 10 year old ringneck parakeet who is in need of a very patient owner. He is very scared of hands and needs a home where he is the only bird; sadly is is aggressive towards all other birds. He will not let you hold him and needs someone who has some time and energy to work with him. (He is not a tiktok ringneck who sings and dances.) When I adopted him about 8 months ago I had high hopes he could fit in with my existing flock but it appears years of being neglected by his previous owners has left him pretty rattled. He is prone to plucking his neck and chest feathers due to the years of boredom he withstood. He comes with a very sizeable cage and some food, though he primarily eats apples, grapes and all sorts of fruits and some veggies. I feel very torn posting this but had to throw out some feelers in case there was someone with more bird experience who felt they could help. I have looked into bird rescues but many aren't accepting additional birds right now so again just had to throw it out there. There would be no rehoming fee; I just want to see if someone else may be able to provide for him in a better way. He is 100% NOT a starter bird and needs someone who has some experience with birds.
