Description
Registration is open through the end of July for the New Beginner Tai Chi class at the Harwich Council on Aging. We meet Tuesdays and Fridays 10 - 11 a.m. This class will be ongoing through the Summer and into the Fall.
Also known as "moving meditation," Tai Chi can help improve balance, core strength, flexibility, boost immunity, and provide a mind-body connection as a source for stress relief.
Participants will learn the easy Tai Chi Eight Form (Yang style), a basic sequence of movements open to all ages and abilities. No special equipment or previous experience is necessary. Classes will incorporate stretching warm-ups, Qigong breathing exercises, and an introduction to Traditional Chinese Medicine concepts of energy flow through the body for healing and vitality
