Description

Ma Upchurch was formed simply because we love to play country music and entertain. It was imperative to incorporate the right mix of chemistry as well as talent, and we found it. Members range in age from 31-88 years old. One of the keys to a successful band is experience in the industry, and we have it in spades. We even have a gentleman in our band that in 1952 was a member of the world renowned Bob Wills & The Texas Playboys. No one can dispute - that is experience. Accomplishments involving the entire band collectively include working for artists such as: PeeWee King, Faron Young, Jack Greene, Randy Travis, Jerry Reed, Asleep at the Wheel, many stars of the Grand Ole Opry, countless radio/TV performances, and also a blues hit that went to #2 world wide. It is our intention to not dwell on our past accomplishments, but to use them to embellish the performance you personally attend!
