Warren Friedrich, master storyteller, knows his Texas history inside and out. This summer the Oakwood Chapel is providing two options. Warren will be available to guide tours of the grounds or in the Chapel where, with a cool respite from the heat, he can tell his “tales and taller tales of Texas history”. He will be available Sundays, 12:30-3:30 pm at 1601 Navasota. Warren is a long-time member of Save Austin’s Cemeteries and is retired from the U.S. Army as a Command Sergeant Major. He loves Texas history, especially his German Texas heritage. He can tell great stories about the people buried in Oakwood Cemetery. Be sure to tell Warren what your interests are, and he can show-and-tell about the people who lived Texas history.
