Hey Everyone! Big things this month! For August, we will be reading The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum. I really want to watch The Muppets' Wizard of Oz, but I will put it up to a vote on IG. The meeting is on August 11th, with the movie starting at 5pm and the discussion at 7pm. Though, you can watch the movie on your own time if you wish. Since the book is child friendly, we will be having a separate kids discussion being led at the same time in the treehouse! If you are bringing your child, RSVP for them as well. I will have the food and drinks set up for you all, but please bring $10 cash each to help me cover the cost. Kid friendly food will be provided too! *ALSO* This month we will be having a field trip! Broadway in the Park is doing The Wizard of Oz, so Arvida Book Co. is offering us book/ticket bundles for the August 5th showing. The book is the MinaLima Edition and it is SO BEAUTIFUL. Coffee table status for sure!! A flip through video is on our instagram reels page. P.S. You don't have to go to Broadway in the Park to attend the meeting. Just extra little book club fun!
