Transmission slow engage issue

Hi, my 2005 Crystal Town & Country van transmission is engaging slow anybody fix this issue before? this is common issue on 2005 Crystal Town & Country van 3.8L engine What is solution?. Van was driving fine one day I got struck bottom of a hill. it was slippery road. i put in gear 3 and drive up. after this incident transmission started acting wired i was able to drive for some time. then one day van stopped on road. I am able to drive in yard. scared to drive on road. how to fix this issue? got a high end scanner? my scanner is not showing exact issue.
