Small dock

Description

I want to build a 6'X8' deck that extends over the water. The creek bottom is rough and rocky, and I'm not sure how best to secure it. I'm looking for someone with dock building experience to decide the best approach, given the underwater obstacles. There are also a couple of dead limbs hanging over the water, next to where the deck will be, that need to be chainsawed and cleared out. I will supply all materials and would like to help with the construction. I have some tools, but not all. I don't have a chainsaw here (I'm here for the summer).
