Description
I and my husband are in our mid-late 30s and we are looking for someone to help us with a few things around the apartment every week. Must love dogs, and healthcare background is helpful because: I work, but have multiple chronic health conditions and if I am having aggravation of symptoms can some times use (light) assistance with things like getting my shoes on, getting to work with my things four blocks away, prepping breakfast. My husband also has health conditions but is generally independent. As we've gotten older and pursued more challenges outside our home, we realize we need help with laundry -1 or 2 loads- or simple vacuuming. Putting groceries away, and just things that come up that use a lot of energy reserves. We prefer a healthcare or vet tech student because they are more likely to have a base knowledge of animal needs or general care. But, if you aren't and still think this is a perfect fit, please contact me. We have a dog who is generally well behaved, who loves people and having someone to walk her sometimes can help give us a breather. You would be asked to come to our apartment 2-3 times a week, when is flexible but we'd like the times to be regular, and prefer one of those times to be fairly early. You'd be here for 2-4 hours each and regularly do any of the following (but not all every time, it's understood you are a human being, and this list is negotiable): Laundry Put away groceries Clear off kitchen counters/put away dishes Vacuum one room Help me with my shoes Pack my lunch, laptop and other things for work Walk me approximately 500 feet to my office (yes, really) Walk our dog, possibly feed or brush her Occasional (you would be asked, have advance warning): Drive with me to grocery store Asked to pick up an ordered meal Help me organize something (pantry, closet) Meal prep/cooking Other light assistance and household projects MUSTS: We will speak with you on the phone and then ask for a written reference and someone we can speak to- and we can help you figure out who that might be if you aren't sure. Then we will meet you so you can ask us questions, see our apartment, meet our dog and make sure this is something that you want to do. We just want to make sure it's a good fit all around. You need to have a current drivers license. You need to have some experience with dogs, know how to do different loads of laundry, and live close to Central San Pedro. While this is part-time and flexible, you do need to be dependable and knowledgeable- someone local is less likely to be late or be impeded by traffic, and more likely to be familiar with the area. 20$-23$/hr, negotiable based on experience. 5hrs to 10hrs a week. Please contact by email and let me know relevant background, and a little about yourself, why you feel confident doing this, and with any questions
