Portland Samba is recruiting drummers for our performance ensemble. We are a Portland based Brazilian samba drum community and we are looking for people to join us. We hold classes for the public and will teach you how to play Brazilian samba. If you have some drumming experience we would love to invite you to join us. The general path to joining the performance ensemble is to attend class, learn samba swing, and learn how all the parts fit together. Promising students are then invited to join the performance ensemble. We are open to anyone as long as they're not a jerk. Saturday Samba Classes are at 11AM - 12:30PM at Vera Katz Eastbank Esplanade. $15 | $50/4 | Sliding scale if you cannot pay, just talk to us.
