Guitarist/ backup vocalist looking for like minded to create music

I am a guitarist vocalist looking to meet other aspiring musicians to make some music. Not much preconceptions other than looking to meet other who are experienced with their instrument and looking to experiment. I am age 42 been playing guitar off and on for about 20 years. I have also played bass in the past as well. I have more of a rock background. Bands I'm into are pretty scattered. I've played indie, rock, folk, grunge, punk, and randomly quite a bit of flamenco guitar. I love bands of all types from Tool, Metallica, Radiohead, Soundgarden, Rage, Circa Survive, Audioslave, Death cab, Sigur Ros, Gaslight Anthem, Mon Laferte, Juanes, Enanitos Verdes, Mana, A perfect circle, Deftones, Mars Volta, Etc. If you have similar interest tastes, play guitar, bass, drums or sings, I'd be looking to meet and discuss the possibility of working on making some original music. Jamming on some covers is always fun, but working on collaborating to bring song ideas from idea to finished work is my goal. I would say I'm proficient in playing rhythm guitar, lead up to a certain point (I'm not Eddie Van Halen or Kirk Hammett), have guitar/singing coordination, can play bass if needed, clueless when it come to drums. I currently have a 100 Watt Fender Amp, and Les Paul and a spanish made flamenco guitar. Would ideally love to create riffs, rhythms, melodies, and work on building them up to completed songs.
