I have opening slots this Summer 2022, both in-person and online at my teaching studio, Outer City Music, located near Mission St and Geneva. My lessons style is easy-going but focused, and follows the creative and personal interests of the students while covering music fundamentals and technique. I welcome both kids and adults, and have experience teaching all ages. I teach the following instruments and topics: Guitar, Drums, Keyboard, Bass, Ukulele, Music Theory Emphasis is placed on subjects such as reading music, understanding elements of music theory, rhythm and harmony, ear training, proper technique on instrument of choice, improvisation, learning songs, and music education. My teaching materials include both method books, personalized handouts, and PDF documents. I have been playing and listening to music since a young age, starting on piano at age 5 before getting serious about guitar and drums in my teen years and taking private lessons. I've played guitar and drums in a few different group locally, primarily rock, metal and jazz situations. In 2015 I received a Bachelors of Arts in Music, emphasis in Jazz Studies, from San Francisco State University. Currently I'm focused on teaching lessons and furthering my own studies while safely enjoying the beautiful environment of the Bay Area, where I've lived for over 10 years. Regarding COVID: Masks are recommended for in-person lessons. Physical distancing, sanitizing, and air purification are utilized for safety. Lessons are available for 1/2 hr, 45 minutes, and 1 hour time slots. For more information, or to sign up today, send me an email via the CL "Reply" button.
