Where to recycle a printer????

I have an HP printer that doesn't work. The closest Staples to my apartment is on 8th Ave and 34th Street. I already checked and they said they can take it. It won't fit in my shopping cart, it's just too wide and it's too heavy for me to pick up and drag over 15 blocks. If there's anyone that can get this to a recycling center including Staples midtown, please let me know. It's been sitting here in my apt. for a couple of weeks. I'll be glad to pay for you to do this for me. Thanks.
